About Tim
Tim is a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Skyline Financial Partners. He has worked in finance since 2013 and has been a business owner since 2017. As a licensed advisor, he oversees all divisions and focuses on the business’s long-term growth.
After seeing his parents fall victim to a predatory loan and the ensuing financial consequences, Tim feels many advisors do their jobs for misguided reasons. Tim dedicated his career and the company’s focus to changing how people view the financial services industry. This includes helping the JMU community and players as the official sponsors of JMU Sports. Tim and his team believe in making every client’s life a little better, and they achieve this by always putting the client first.

Tim graduated Cum Laude from James Madison University with a degree in Economics and Political Science. He is also a founding father of the Delta Upsilon fraternity at JMU. As an advisor, his accolades include Mass Mutual’s Million Dollar Round Table Leader/Producer, Rillhurst Capital Agent of the Year, and nine years of professional speaking experience, including The College Funding Coach, Bull Run Investment Management, JMU-specific speaking events and Dave Yoho Associates.
A leader who believes that the genuine values of honesty and doing the right thing, no matter how difficult, supersedes all other choices for Tim. He’s passionate about working alongside clients and team members to create a financial plan that shows each client how to take the necessary steps to set and reach their financial goals.
Outside the office, Tim is an avid DC-area sports fan, a JMU season ticket holder for football and basketball, a skier, and a volunteer for cancer-based groups. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsey, son, Hunter, and their three dogs. Lindsey runs her own art company, Dogwood Farm Designs LLC. Tim has traveled to over 15 countries and hopes to visit a few more!
