About Nao
Originally from Japan, Nao Moriya moved to the United States in 1989 as a student and has called Southern California home ever since. After a long and successful career in the commercial film industry, Nao transitioned into financial advising, driven by a desire for meaningful work, personal financial security, and a passion for helping others navigate their financial journeys. Â
Her entry into the financial services world was sparked by encouragement from a longtime friend and mentor. What began as curiosity quickly evolved into a calling. Nao holds licenses in life and health insurance and has passed the SIE, Series 6, 63, and 65 exams—credentials that reflect her commitment to learning and growth in her second career.Â
As a financial advisor, Nao focuses on education, empowerment, and building strong relationships. She provides personalized guidance that helps individuals and families make informed decisions, especially during major life transitions. She believes financial literacy is foundational and makes it a priority to explain complex topics in clear, approachable language. Â
Outside of work, Nao is an avid home chef who enjoys staying active and embracing life’s adventures. She finds joy in golf, skiing, and occasional warm-water surfing, and always makes time for a rejuvenating trip to Hawaii. Above all, she values quality time with her family, especially her son, and embraces the beauty of simple, sunny moments. Â
Nao’s work is driven by a deep belief that financial planning should empower, not overwhelm. Whether helping clients navigate life transitions or plan for long-term goals, she brings clarity, care, and confidence to every conversation, ensuring each client feels supported every step of the way.Â
