About Lucy

Lucy Matsumoto brings a unique blend of resilience, entrepreneurial grit, and deep empathy to her work as a financial advisor. Her journey into financial services began after the tragic loss of her father in a plane crash at age 16, which thrust her into the role of caretaker for her family. That life-altering experience shaped her mission: to help others avoid financial vulnerability through education and planning.  

With nearly 15 years in the industry, Lucy holds Series 6, 63, 65, and 26 licenses, along with a life and health insurance license. At Encompass More, Lucy serves clients across Southern California—particularly individuals, families, and small business owners. With decades of business ownership experience herself, she has a strong understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs face and specializes in supporting self-employed professionals and those in transition. She is also a strong advocate for women in finance, helping clients build confidence in their financial decision-making. 

Known for her consistency, compassion, and unwavering support. She requires quarterly client reviews and shows up, especially when life gets hard. Whether guiding a client through market uncertainty or generational planning, Lucy takes pride in being a long-term resource for entire families. 

Outside of work, Lucy is a thrill-seeker who enjoys scuba diving, ziplining, and equestrian sports. She’s also a committed community advocate, having been a founding Board Member and first president of Shane’s Inspiration. Lucy also served as president of All for One Foundation. Today, she continues to give back through volunteer work with food drives, animal shelters, and disability-focused initiatives.
