About Dennis

With more than 40 years in the financial services industry, Dennis Burd has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families gain clarity, confidence, and long-term financial stability. Originally on the path to becoming a math teacher, Dennis found a deeper calling in educating others about money. Realizing how many people lacked access to financial knowledge, he set out to bridge that gap through personalized advising grounded in education and service. 

Dennis holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, with minors in Economics and Mathematics. He is licensed as an Investment Advisory Representative and holds a Series 7 broker’s license, along with Life, Annuities, and Health Insurance licenses. As the founder of Burd Financial Group, Dennis offers integrated investment and insurance solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. 

In his role as an Investment Advisor, Dennis designs portfolios focused on generating consistent returns while managing downside risk. He primarily serves middle-income families—those often underserved by traditional firms—providing access to practical strategies and meaningful support. 

Clients value Dennis for his depth of knowledge, approachable style, and sincere commitment to their well-being. He believes strong client relationships begin with understanding not just financial goals, but also personal values and family priorities. 

Outside the office, Dennis enjoys spending time with his wife of 42 years, Sue, and their two dachshunds, Rootie Kazootie and Mrs. Peel. They love visiting their daughters and grandchildren in Delaware and Arizona. A devoted member of his church, Dennis is a frequent speaker at services and workshops, sharing biblical perspectives on stewardship and financial responsibility.
